Holistic Living

WHAT DOES LIVING HOLISTICALLY REALLY MEAN?

Holistic (adjective): characterized by comprehension of the parts of something as intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole. Philosophically holistic medicine is characterized by the treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the physical symptoms of disease.

Holistic Health is actually an approach to life. Rather than focusing on illness or specific parts of the party, this ancient approach to health considers the whole person and how he or she interacts with his or her environment. It emphasizes the connection of mind, body and spirit. Holistic medicine is a form of healing that considers the whole person -- body, mind spirit and emotions -- in the quest for optimal health and wellness. According to the holistic medicine philosophy, one can achieve optimal health -- the primary goal of holistic medicine practice -- by gaining proper balance in life. (Learn more here)
